Nursing Students in Classroom

Eligibility Requirements 

Nursing applications are accepted twice a year: Fall and Spring Semester. Please review the  "Application Procedure" page for detailed application requirements and procedure. 

Admission into our program is based on Multi-Criteria Guidelines, a point-based system. 

In order to apply to the ELAC ADN Program, the student must:

  • be 18 years or older
  • have a U.S. High School Diploma/GED/AA Degree or higher
  • have an SSN or TIN number
  • have a valid California driver's license
  • have completed the following pre-requisite courses with a grade of "C" or better:
    • ENG 101: College Reading and Composition I or equivalent (minimum 3 semester units)
    • PSY 001: Introduction to Psychology (minimum 3 semester units)
    • PSY 041: Life-Span Psychology (minimum 3 semester units)
    • MATH 227 or 227S: Statistics OR MATH 245: College Algebra OR higher level Math (minimum 3 semester units)
    • ANATOMY 001/PHYSIOL 001: College courses in Anatomy/Physiology* with laboratory (minimum 8 semester units) OR BIOLOGY 020: a combined course of Anatomy/Physiology
      • *CHEM 051: Fundamentals of Chemistry I (5 semester units) OR CHEM 065: Introductory General Chemistry (4 semester units) is a pre-requisite for Physiology 001
    • MICRO 020: General Microbiology with laboratory (4 semester units)
  • have taken the ATI TEAS version 7 with all four sub-categories (Reading, Math, Science and English & Language Usage) scores greater than or equal to 62%.
