The following are common questions with K-12 students taking college classes.

Question #1: I want to take college classes at ELAC. How do I sign up?

Signing up for classes depends on how students wish to experience college classes. Please refer to Outreach K-12 Student Registration.

Question #2: I forgot my LACCD student portal password. How do I reset it?

A: For assistance with Password Reset, please contact the Welcome Center.

Question #3: Can parents get access to their child's grades or related information?

A: Parents or Legal Guardians will not have access to a student's records (including grades and transcripts) without the student's written consent (the student's minor status notwithstanding).

Question #4: Do I have to pay for college classes?

A: Enrollment fees for special part-time will be waived pursuant to Board Rule 8100.07 and Education Code section 76300 (f). Special Full-Time Students (i.e., K-12 students enrolled in more than 11 units) are required to pay enrollment fees.

Question #5: I have graduated from high school, but I have a high school related hold on my record. What should I do?

A: Please fill out and submit a High School Graduation Update form to the Admissions & Records Office.

Question #6: Can undocumented students enroll into an Early College Program course?

A: Yes, undocumented students can take courses offered by the Early College Program. Once a student has graduated from high school, they are encouraged to contact the Admissions & Records Office and the Dream Resource Center for more information on continuing their college experience at ELAC.
