social_justice_town_hall_event_header

Love letters, art, poetry, and education serve as transformative forces that empower formerly-incarcerated individuals to reclaim their freedom and pursue justice. Love Letters is a series of presidential-style portraits that highlight formerly-incarcerated women and men who are making a difference in their communities.
The series also underscores the transcendent power of writing and how writing letters to loved ones is an act that enables prisoners to remain rooted in their humanity. Through each portrait and “love letter” that accompanies it, artist Fabian Debora invites us to sit with the prisoner in their cell and to experience their hope and incessant will to love in the face of darkness.
