About the Play
Suffering a recent shipwreck, young Viola must find her way in the new land of Illyria. Presuming her twin brother drowned, she dresses as a man, assumes the name of Cesario, and finds employment with the Duke Orsino. But mayhem ensues when the Duchess Olivia falls in love with her, not realizing that Cesario, the disguised Viola, is actually a woman. One of Shakespeare’s most beloved comedies, Twelfth Night is a joyful delight.
