Program Overview
The Public Safety Affiliation Program provides learners with the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary to manage law enforcement, emergency management, and other crucial public safety services. The Public Safety Affiliation Program addresses the needs of those who already work in public safety and would like to advance their careers.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Public Safety Affiliation department at East Los Angeles college is to continue preparing current law enforcement, emergency responders and probation officers in the ever-changing environment of the criminal justice system. This program exposes current employees to aspects of justice and public safety practices within the modern workplace. The Public Safety Affiliation Program opens the door to current employees who already work in public safety and would like to advance in their careers to a wide variety of challenging and rewarding careers in various law enforcement, corrections, social services, and emergency management agencies.
