Transitioning to Our Future Campus!

We're thrilled to share some exciting news about the future of East Los Angeles College! As we gear up for the grand opening of our state-of-the-art campus in the spring of 2025, we're embarking on a transition journey that promises to bring even more convenience and opportunities to our students.

Starting in June 2024, we'll bid farewell to our beloved ELAC Southeast Campus in South Gate as we pave the way for our future home just down the street. While the new campus takes shape, we're committed to ensuring a seamless transition for all our students.

Your Transition Experience

During this transition period, ELAC students at the ELAC Southeast Campus will have the opportunity to continue their academic journey at South Gate High School and Odyssey High School in South Gate. But don't worry about the logistics – we've got you covered!

Parking and Southeast Shuttle

Parking is free at the west parking lot on Southern Ave. and Calden Ave. Our dedicated route will take you to the temporary campus destinations.

• Monday-Thursday: 7:30am to 10:15pm (Every 15-20 minutes)
• Friday: 7:30am to 4:15pm (Every 15-20 minutes)

ELAC Campus Express: We pulled out all the stops. Travel from South Gate to the East Side in just 35 minutes. Our Express bus will be arriving at the lot on Southern Ave. and Calden Ave. within every hour between 7:30 a.m. to 9:40 p.m. (schedule stubject to change) to take students between the Southeast and the Monterey Park Campuses.

Student Services On Hand

Even amidst the transition, your ELAC experience remains our top priority. Student services, admissions, and other essential resources will continue to be available at the ELAC Southeast Campus, conveniently located across the street from our upcoming campus in a shopping center on the corner of Santa Fe Ave and Firestone Blvd.

Please note this location will not open until July 2024. We recommend that students at our Southeast Campus reach out to use virtually or in person at our Monterey Park campus until the transition office opens in July.

Construction has started on our new Southeast Campus, set to open soon and address the rising demand for higher education in Southeast LA. We are excited to soon welcome students to this state-of-the-art facility as they embark on their academic journey.
