Eddie Flores is a Los Angeles native and has been coaching soccer for more than 20 years. He was named South Coast Conference Coach of the Year in 2011 and 2012. Also a professor of Chicano Studies, Flores received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in sociology and Mexican-American studies from Loyola Marymount University.
Flores said he feels ELAC can “offer the fundamentals and the strength to succeed.” He knows this first-hand as the single father of two sons.
Other positions held by Flores include being a ticket manager for the Los Angeles Olympic Committee at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif. during the 1984 Summer Games and working as a compliance officer with Weaver State University in Ogden, Utah.
In addition to his love of soccer, Flores is an avid basketball and hockey fan, loves movies and has traveled to many distant parts of the world, including Europe, South America and even has taken two train trips across Canada.Flores said the best thing about ELAC is “it’s a family and the people we work with are very enjoyable.”
