COA/CCCAA Hall of Fame Induction

2008 Comedy Show    Day at the Races    Domestic Violence Awareness    Special Events

East Los Angeles College Alumnus Ben Davidson holds his award after being inducted into the COA/CCCAA Hall of Fame. Mr. Davidson was a standout athlete in Track and Basketball at Los Angeles Woodrow Wilson High School. His football career didn't begin until he reached ELAC where he was spotted by football coach, Clyde Johnson, who convinced him to play for the Huskies. He flourished in football, and following the 1957 season earned a scholarship to the University of Washington, majoring in geography. He went on to play professional football for the New York Giants, Green Bay Packers, Washington Redskins, and Oakland Raiders.

In 1995, Davidson established a scholarship for female and male students at ELAC for academic and athletic excellence. The scholarship is awarded annually to graduating sophomores who have completed their eligibility.
