COA/CCCAA Hall of Fame Induction
2008 Comedy Show Day at the Races Domestic Violence Awareness Special Events
East
Los Angeles College Alumnus Ben Davidson holds his award after being inducted
into the COA/CCCAA Hall of Fame. Mr. Davidson was a standout athlete in
Track and Basketball at Los Angeles Woodrow Wilson High School. His football
career didn't begin until he reached ELAC where he was spotted by football
coach, Clyde Johnson, who convinced him to play for the Huskies. He
flourished in football, and following the 1957 season earned a scholarship
to the University of Washington, majoring in geography. He went on to play
professional football for the New York Giants, Green Bay Packers, Washington
Redskins, and Oakland Raiders.In 1995, Davidson established a scholarship for female and male students at ELAC for academic and athletic excellence. The scholarship is awarded annually to graduating sophomores who have completed their eligibility. |

Los Angeles College Alumnus Frank Davidson joined the celebration as his
brother, Ben Davidson, was inducted into the COA/CCCAA Hall of Fame. Frank
Davidson, like his brother Ben, has established a scholarship for female and
male students at ELAC for academic and athletic excellence. |
