East Los Angeles College Shared Governance and Decision-Making Handbook
Self Study
Black Narrow  Introduction:

The intent of this publication is to illustrate how decision-making processes at East Los Angeles College (ELAC) integrate into the overall Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation cycle of the college. ELAC has sought to establish structures and procedures that promote student success and utilize campus shared governance processes. The Shared Governance and Decision-Making Handbook serves as a guide for students, faculty, staff, and administrators who desire to be or are already involved in college planning and other campuswide decisions. This handbook includes descriptions of college processes, college committees, and a schedule of college planning, evaluation and re-evaluation.

East Los Angeles College Stategic Plan 2008-2011
Self Study
Black Narrow  Introduction:

The strategic planning structure at East Los Angeles College reflects the college’s commitment to shared governance and to obtaining campus?wide and community input on College goals and objectives that will shape the College’s future. The first objective of the college planning structure was to revise and modify the existing college mission to better reflect changes in the college, the surrounding community, and pedagogical developments. The East Los Angeles College Shared Governance Council (ESGC) formed a Strategic Planning Taskforce to start the revision process and complete the College’s revised Strategic Plan, including the college’s mission, vision and strategic directions and values. The culmination of this process was a revised Strategic Plan built on campuswide dialog.
