Parking Information - Parking Permits
SEMESTER PERMITS

  • Regular Student parking for the spring and fall semesters is $20 and $7 for summer and winter sessions. This entitles you to park in the Stadium Parking Lot, north and south Avalanche Ways, and Lots A & B at the South Gate campus.
  • ASU permit is $27 for the spring and fall semesters and $10 for summer and winter sessions. This entitles you to park in the Stadium Parking Lot, Parking Structures 3 and 4, north and south Avalanche Ways, South Gate main lot and lots A & B at Southern and Calden.
DAILY/VISITOR PERMITS: $2 All Day

Daily permits are valid only at the Stadium Lot, level 6 of Parking Structure 3, level 5 of Parking Structure 4, north and south Avalanche Ways, and lots A & B at the South Gate campus. One-day permit machines are located in the middle of the Stadium Lot, level 6 of Parking Structure 3, and level 5 of Parking Structure 4. Permit machines at the Stadium Lot and level 5 of Parking Structure 4 accept coins, $1, and $2 bills only. Permit machines on level 6 of Parking Structure 3 give change and accepts coins, $1, $2, and $5 bills.

All vehicles parked in a campus parking lot must display a valid permit at all times Monday-Saturday. Permits must be properly displayed either hanging from the rear view mirror, facing out, or face up on the driver's side of the dashboard. Improperly displayed permits will result in a citation. A permit does not exempt you from receiving a citation. Over-night parking is prohibited unless prior arrangements are made with the Sheriff's Office.

There is a one-week grace period at the beginning of each semester. Parking permits may be obtained at the Fiscal Office in E1-135. The Fiscal Office is NOT responsible for parking citations given to students. All parking citations/appeals are handled by the ELAC Sheriff's Department, (323) 265-8800 located on the stadium concourse between tunnels 12 and 13. Students are responsible for understanding where they are allowed to park. Please read all posted signs. Lost or stolen permits cannot be replaced. A new permit must be purchased at the Fiscal Office while supplies last.

Motorcycle/Open-top Vehicles:

Permits must be purchased at the fiscal office and registered at the Sheriff's Office every semester. Motorcycle with unregistered permits will be cited per CVC Section 21113.A. Park only in marked stalls.

Motorcycles/Open-top Vehicles:

There is no designated motorcycle parking except at the South Gate campus. Motorcycles need to park in a regular marked parking stall. Permits must be purchased at the Fiscal Office and registered at the Sheriff's Office every semester. Motorcycles and open-top vehicles without current semester permits registered will be cited per CVC Section 21113.A.

Staff/Faculty Permits:

Allow you to park in Parking Structure 3 and 4, West Access Road, Concourse, Child Development Center, and South Gate campus main lot. There is a $20 fee for a replacement or additional permit payable at the Fiscal Office.

Handicap Parking:

Vehicles parked in handicap stalls must display a valid handicap placard issued by the DMV per C.V.C Section 22507.8(A).
