E-Chat with a Counselor

This service allows current ELAC students to use their computer, tablet, or mobile device to ask a Counselor general questions relating to the following:

  • Clarification of college procedures and policies
  • Certificate, degree, and transfer requirements
  • Course prerequisite information
  • Course offerings and majors available
  • Referrals to other programs/service
  • Transferability of ELAC courses

Questions requiring a lengthy response, evaluation of transcripts, or questions deemed of a sensitive nature will require an appointment with a counselor on campus. All replies are to be used as an advisory and informational only and will not constitute an official determination by ELAC.

This service is NOT appropriate for the following:

  • Development of Student Educational Plans (SEP)
  • Transcript evaluations
  • Graduation checks
  • Financial aid appeals
  • Personal or crisis counseling
  • Career counseling

E-Chat with a Counselor is available during the following hours:

  • Monday: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
  • Tuesday: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
  • Wednesday: 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
  • Thursday: 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
  • Friday: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
