Kognito Training for Faculty, Staff, and Administrators
Complete these training simulations to be better equipped to:
- Identify, approach and refer students in psychological distress
- Use open-ended questions, reflective listening, and other motivational interviewing tactics
- Recognize warning signs and build trust to motivate the student to seek help
- Examine common indicators of distress including anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation
- Feel more confident and proficient in handling real life situations
- Properly refer students to resources
Receive 1 hour of flex credit for each module. Submit your completion certificate for each module to the Office of Professional Development.
Each virtual role-play takes only 30-40 minutes to complete. You can save your progress and complete it later. Accessible 24/7.
Consider offering extra credit to your students who complete the student versions of these trainings.
