The Professional Development Office contributes to equity-minded inclusive teaching and learning development at ELAC. Our goal is to lead the faculty toward a collaborative teaching culture that addresses racial and social justice issues in course design and syllabi in order to promote equitable, anti-racist classroom environments. As part of this mission, we take a scholarly and evidence-based approach based on the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) in leading course design and best practices in teaching.
