The East Los Angeles Community Legal Aid Works (ELAC-LAW) program of ELAC’s Business Administration Department is hosting a free legal aid clinic workshop Thursday, November 21 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm for ELAC students and their families.
Lawyers will provide FREE one on one consultations to help ELAC students and their families with Immigration (DACA, visas, public charge, green card, work permits, etc.) or Family Law (custody, support, divorce, restraining orders, domestic violence, guardianship, etc.) issues.
Walk-ins are welcome but will only receive legal services based of availability. Waitlisted students will have priority over walk-ins.
To reserve a session please go to the following link http://bit.ly/ELACLegalAid. Be advised that you need to bring a current ELAC student ID and answer a few basic questions to meet with an attorney.
Please arrive 20 minutes before your scheduled appointment with your reservation confirmation (printed or digital). Also, bring your ELAC Student ID and any important paperwork pertaining to your legal matters (letters from the government, court papers, etc.)
***Note that your session may no longer be available if you are 10 minutes late. You must be a current ELAC student to reserve an appointment and, if the appointment is for a family member, the student must be in attendance to receive legal help.***
