Commuter Program
Employee Transportation Coordinator (ETC)
The Office of Administrative Services is monitoring all aspects of the program. Susan Okawa is the College Employee Transportation Coordinator (ETC).
Guaranteed Ride Home
All employees participating in the program are provided transportation in case of an emergency. This service will be provided by the Sheriff's Office. They can be reached at ext. 8800.
Personalized Commute Assistance
Coordinate carpool formations, assist in identifying Park & Ride lots, assist in identifying bicycle and pedestrain routes, assist in providing personalized transit routes and schedule information, provide personalized follow-up assistance to maiantain participation in the commute program.
Preferred Parking
All registered carpooling vehicles are issued a parking permit. This permit will entitle them to park in a reserved parking area in close proximity to the entrance. These spaces are clearly marked. Twelve (12) spaces have been set aside and the number of spaces.
Ride Matching Services
The Office of Administrative Services maintains a current listing of all employees sorted by city and zip code. Any employee who wishes to participate should see Susan Okawa for the listing of potential partners in their geographic area.
Transit Information Center
The Transit Information Center Bulletin Board is located at the entrance of the E1 Building. This rideshare center displays rideshare bulletins, posters, and messages of importance to our commuting population.
Transportation Fair
Our semi-annual Transportation Fair will take place at the beginning of each semester. Information booths and promotional items will be provided.
Public Transit Subsidy
All employees will receive 100 points worth $1.50. This incentive will be accrued at the end of each semester.
Carpooling
Each time an employee carpools to the site, they accrue 100 points worth $1.00. This incentive will be accrued and issued in the form of a check to be distributed at the end of each semester.
Bicycling
Each time an employee bicycles to the site they will accrue 100 points worth $1.00. This incentive will be accrued and issued in the form of a check to be distributed at the end of each semester.
Walking
Each time an employee walks to the site, they accrue 100 points worth $1.00. This incentive will be accrued and issued in the form of a check to be distributed at the end of each semester.
